Articles of a Supplementary Agreement (hereinafter

called this transition agreement) made on the

day of

thirty

one thousand nine hundred and

between His Excellency Sir William Peel,

K.C.M.G., K.B., Governor and Commander in Chief of the

Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral

of the same for and on behalf of the Government thereof of

the one part and Imperial and international Communications

Limited, hereinafter called the Company, of the other part,

to enable the Company to function pending the installation of

its own offices and stations as provided for by Article 12

of the agreement (hereinafter called the principal agreement)

made between the said parties on the

day of

Article 1.

The Hong Kong Government's fixed station commercial

radio-electric services and the Company's radio-electric

services shall be worked jointly from the

day of

193, until the Company has

established its own offices and stations in the Colony.

Article 2.

During the periɔd covered by this transition aṛreement

the Hong Kong Government's Chief Mectrical Engineer shallact

as Manager and Superintending Engineer of the Imperial &

International Communications Company's radio services in the

Colony in addition to his other duties Half of the sterling

salary paid to him by the Government shall be repaid to the

Government by the Company which shall also pay to the Gove ment

an additional sum equivalent to 12 per cent. of such half-salary

as a contribution towards his pension.
